About Andrew
Andrew is a Technical Sound Designer based in Cambridge, UK, currently working at Jagex. Since joining the studio in 2022, he has progressed from Junior Audio Designer to Technical Audio Designer, reflecting his growing focus on audio systems, implementation, and interactive design.
At Jagex, Andrew has worked extensively in Unreal Engine on RuneScape: Dragonwilds, contributing to both the creative and technical direction of the game’s audio. His work spans composition, systemic ambience design, and detailed sound implementation. The Unreal workflow has enabled him to develop a strong command of runtime audio behaviour, parameter control, and in-engine integration, giving him direct ownership over how sound functions within gameplay systems.
Prior to relocating to Cambridge, Andrew worked in Edinburgh at Krotos Audio, where he developed his foundation in professional sound design and audio production.
Alongside implementation and systems work, Andrew remains an active composer and field recordist. He regularly records natural ambiences across the UK, building a growing personal library of environmental textures that inform his approach to world-building and spatial immersion. His background as a multi-instrumentalist further supports his ability to move fluidly between composition, design, and technical execution.
